Warnings and recommendations

Since mobile homes are built with more plastic and other light weight materials there is less need for the heavy duty pipe wernches and other tools required for plumbing repai in site built homes.  The only time I used my large pipe wrenches was to work on gas lines and I don' recommend that for the average mobile home owner.

The adjustable "channel locks" kind of plyers in the 12" or 15" size is very useful.  With two of them you can hold the pipe in place while you loosen a screwed on fitting.  They will handle up to 1 1/2" pipe which is about as large as you are likely to find.

Other than plumbing, there just aren't many places in mobile homes which are held together with nuts and bolts.
